Join us from 10 AM – 2 PM for a day of history, learning, and community. At 12 PM, witness the special reading of the Underground Railroad Proclamation. Fun for all ages – don’t miss this chance to be part of preserving history!

Weldon Community Watch event is October 30 at 6pm at Town Hall.

Save the Date: Weldon In Action Community Celebration
Join us on November 1, 2025, for a day of celebration and community pride in Weldon, NC!
The day begins with the premier of a special documentary highlighting Weldon’s rich history at Halifax Community College at 10:00 a.m., featuring stories from residents and former residents. Festivities continue with a ribbon cutting ceremony at Ralph J. Bunche Park at 2:00 p.m., including music, vendors, and displays at West First and Water Streets.
This event is sponsored by Weldon In Action and promises to be a memorable day for all ages.
Lights in the Night
It will run. Nov 22 to January 6. Nov 22 will be the kick off with the night of illumination. Refreshments, children's activities and a visit from Santa too!

Greekout
Friday, Sept 12, The Weekend Begins! GreekOut Challenge at Weldon Mills Distillery. See attached flyer. Proceeds benefit The Brotherhood's project to take area youth to the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Thursday, Sept 11. Chat with the Mayor. Want a more dynamic conversation than a Town Council meeting allows? Stop by Town Hall to have an informal chat with Mayor Hugh Credle. 5:30 pm.

Third Community Watch Meeting
Chief Davis and Officer Griffin are holding a third Community Watch meeting at Town Hall. 109 Washington Ave, on August 28th from 6 to 7pm.
Each meeting, citizens are encouraged to share what they see and their ideas for improvements in the community. Officer Griffin shares information on a topic of interest (last time it was current scams going around and how to avoid them). They are working towards having community watches in neighborhoods where people are interested in participating.
