Ralph J. Bunche Park Cleanup & Irvin Francis Kyle III Speaker Series
October is shaping up to be an exciting month for Weldon In Action. Plans are underway for a Ralph J. Bunche Park planting and community cleanup, providing volunteers an opportunity to beautify this historic space while giving back to the community.
Later in the month, join us for the Irvin Francis Kyle III Speaker Series on October 15, featuring a presentation focused on the history and impact of railroads in Weldon. Additional speaker details will be announced soon. Don't miss this opportunity to learn how the railroad helped shape Weldon's past and continues to influence its story today.

Join Weldon In Action for the third Irvin Francis Kyle III Speaker Series on Wednesday, October 15, featuring Holli from the Wilmington Railroad Museum. Holli will present the fascinating history of the Weldon-to-Wilmington Railroad and explore how Weldon's railroad heritage helped shape the town's growth and significance throughout North Carolina.
Refreshments will be served beginning promptly at 5:30 PM, followed by the presentation. Whether you're a history enthusiast, railroad buff, or simply interested in learning more about Weldon's rich past, this is an event you won't want to miss.

Join Us for Our July Community Meeting
Our next Weldon In Action Community Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 16, from 5:30–7:00 PM at Halifax Community College, Building 800, Room 825 in Weldon. Please arrive a few minutes early, as the program will begin promptly at 5:30 PM.
This month's meeting features special guests from Main Street Edenton, who will share how North Carolina's Main Street Program helps communities revitalize downtowns, support local businesses, preserve historic character, and strengthen local economies. Main Street Edenton is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the vitality of historic downtown Edenton through leadership, collaboration, business development, and community engagement.

Weldon In Action is joining the 301 Endless Yard Sale on Saturday, June 20 and we're collecting quality donated items to help raise funds for projects and programs that make Weldon an even better place to live, work, and visit.
Town of Weldon Juneteenth Celebration
Weldon is celebrating Juneteenth on Friday, June 19th in the 100 block of Washington Avenue, Weldon from 3pm to 7pm. Come enjoy the festivities, basketball, games for the kids, DJ Thee Twin and more!
